The short version: SecondBook doesn't handle shipping, payment, or returns for any listing. We're a noticeboard that connects buyers and sellers — everything after that happens directly between the two of you.
There is no built-in courier or delivery service. Once you've revealed a seller's number and agreed a sale, you and they decide together how the book changes hands — in-person pickup, a courier you book yourselves, or a delivery service you agree on.
SecondBook never collects or holds payment. Buyers pay sellers directly — cash on pickup, bank transfer, or whatever method you both agree on.
Because SecondBook isn't a party to the sale, we can't process refunds or returns. Agree on condition expectations with the seller before paying, and inspect the book at handover when possible. If a listing turns out to be misleading or a seller behaves inappropriately, you can report the listing from its page.
Meet in a safe, public place for handover when possible, and use your own judgment before sending money ahead of receiving a book — the same care you'd take with any classifieds transaction.
